The benefits of softened water
With soft water the maths adds up. Soft water easily forms a lather with soap, allowing you to clean your hands, body and hair with minimal product and leaves your skin pores free from scummy residues and subsequent irritation. There is less need for moisturisers too, as the natural skin oils are free to work, leaving your skin soft and your hair silky.
And there is no need for those heavy-duty limescale-busting products to clean up your taps, toilets and shower heads. The unsightly white stains are absent as is the burden of continual scrubbing to achieve a highly polished finish. Remove the problem – hard water – and nature’s most useful resource is at its best.
Continual use of hard water gradually builds up layers of limescale in pipework, which can reduce water flow to your washing machine and dishwasher.
Your kitchen appliances will naturally last much longer as well as working to their designed efficiency.
It is not common knowledge, but soft water makes your hair look glossier too.
If your skin feels, dry, itchy and irritated, continual washing in hard water may be contributing to this.
Softened water has a reduced mineral content so the taste is free to be enjoyed with the unsightliness of scummy films absent.

Would it be too bold to say that softened water improves eczema and psoriasis? Inadvertently it does.
